The WTF-KHU partnership program began in 2005. This program is held four times a year, twice for athletes and twice for coaches. The program began because it is our belief that academic knowledge is of utmost importance to foster growth and understanding of Taekwondo on an advanced level. The programs instructors have proven themselves on an international level as champions. Due to this they will offer great benefits through their experience in Taekwondo. It is the goal of Kyung Hee to show the highest level of instruction to all who participate.

The main goals of this program are:

· To promote Taekwondo knowledge and standardize TKD techniques
· Enhance cultural development of our sport
· Build great leaders in the globalization process of Taekwondo.
· Internationalize TKD program development

The Focus of this session is to broaden the Coaches knowledge of Taekwondo Sparring. A systematic and educational program has been designed to enable coaches to return home to their countries and set up a firm curriculum for their teams. The root and final outcome of this program is to produce leadership qualities in National Coaches. This leadership training will be held in the highest regard during the workshop.

5 First Aid & Taping To provide general understanding of first aid, CPR and Taping
6 Referee of Taekwondo Sparring To evaluate new rules of the game
7 Strategy of Sparring Analysis How to use sparring strategy in competition
8 Technical Sparring Program Design To provide program to improve technical skill in athletes perfomance
9 Poomsae General Poomsae Training
10 Demonstration and Self Defense General Demonstration and self defense techinques
11 Stretching To provide a program to improve flexibility in athletes
12 Korean language To learn about simple dialogue and Taekwondo word
13 Korean Cultural Experience This part will include field trips and cultural experiences
 
Since 2005 the WTF held the first Poomsae championship in Korea. After then great response to this event has shown a growing interest in this area of Taekwondo. For these reasons Kyung Hee has decided to begin a training course dedicated solely to the research and development of Poomsae. This course will have a specific focus on the Martial Arts aspect of Taekwondo

The focus on this program will be to provide high-level training sessions in sparring where players will be able to train with Elite athletes from Korea to gain a wider understanding of Taekwondo at an international level. The other portion of this course will provide players with technical and educational about the sport to ensure a better quality of training to accompany just the physical interaction.
